Watermelon is practically synonymous with summer. This August, come celebrate the iconic fruit in the Outer Banks at the 18th Annual Watermelon Festival!
On August 1, 2024, come celebrate summer with Kitty Hawk Kites and Food Lion by supporting the Outer Banks Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Coalition at the 18th Annual OBX Watermelon Festival. The whole family will enjoy the fun festivities, which will include games, food, face painting, tie-dye shirt making, arts and crafts activities, and, of course, tons of watermelon!
If you're competitive, then you'll love the classic watermelon-themed competitions that take place at the festival. Try your hand at watermelon flip cup, watermelon bowling, or watermelon eating. Winners will receive special prizes! Whether you're participating or watching, you'll enjoy the exhilarating activities.
OBX Watermelon Festival is free for guests to attend, but the purchase of tickets is required to play and eat.
