July 4th is almost here! Are you ready to party like its 1776? With plenty of food, family, and fireworks, the Outer Banks is the perfect place to celebrate Independence Day! Here are a few of our favorite ways to celebrate.
Fireworks
If you're a big fan of fireworks, then you're in for a treat in the Outer Banks! Fireworks shows will take place in the following locations:- Avalon Pier in Kill Devil Hills
- Nags Head Fishing Pier in Nags Head
- Fireworks over the sound in Manteo
- Avon Fishing Pier in the village of Avon on Hatteras Island
Both the Nags Head and Manteo displays will be visible from Jockey’s Ridge. It's going to be magical!
Parades
The town of Duck will have their annual parade on the 4th at 9 AM. After this charming parade, there will be a Community Celebration at the Duck Town Park. The celebration will feature live music, cold refreshments, and the awarding of the parade trophies.
Independence Day Concert
To celebrate the 4th of July, the Town of Manteo and Roanoke Island Festival Park are hosting an Independence Day concert featuring The Deloreans and the 82nd Airborne Division Band & Chorus. This awesome concert is free and open to the public!
