This Christmas, get festive at Island Farm! Island Farm is a fantastic living history site in the Outer Banks that focuses on showing visitors what Roanoke Island was like in the 1850s. Because of their emphasis on tradition and storytelling, they are a fantastic place to visit during the holiday season. They also offer outstanding holiday programming!

Holiday Fun
On December 4 and 11, 2021, Island Home will celebrate Christmas- and everyone is invited to join in! At this festive event, costumed interpreters will share how early Roanoke Island families celebrated Christmas. The charming property home will be decorated inside and out. A variety of demonstrations will take place. Planned activities include food traditions, holiday crafts, candle making, Christmas ornament crafting, and grapevine wreath making. While you're visiting, make sure to have a photo made with St. Nicholas!
Admission is $8 for visitors age 4 and up.

The Elizabethan Gardens: gorgeous gardens nestled conveniently on the coast of Manteo! They're open year-round and definitely worth a visit. Check them out after dark to see their Christmas light display!
The North Carolina Aquarium: a delightful aquarium with lots of amazing sea creatures to look at! Participate in their Santa Paws donation drive and get a free ticket (limit one free ticket per reservation).
