Father's Day is almost here! Looking for the perfect way to celebrate Dad? Bring him to the Outer Banks! Here are a few of the ways that you can enjoy Father's Day weekend around the Outer Banks.
Visit a Farmers Market: Dowdy Park Farmers Market returns to Nags Head on June 15th, 2023! On Thursdays throughout the summer, you can visit and shop for local food and artisan goods.
Collegiate Baseball Games: If Dad loves sports, then he'll have an excellent time watching the Outer Banks Scallywags! Games will take place in Manteo on June 15th and 19th.
Sunset Festival: On June 16th, you can enjoy free family fun at Jockey's Ridge Crossing. From 7pm until Sunset, there will be treasure hunts, music, games and toys, arts and crafts, and more. Guests are invited to dress up! (Can't make it on the 16th? Don't worry! Sunset Festival takes place five nights a week through August, with each day offering a unique theme).
Rogallo Kite Fest: On June 16-17, 2023, come to Nags Head for the Rogallo Kite Festival! Come fly a kite of your own, participate in free stunt kite lessons, make a kite, or just relax and watch the professionals fly 30-100 ft kites.
Fishing: The Outer Banks has great fishing year-round. Hire a fishing guide or bring your fly rod to a riverbank and see what you find. Alternatively, you could try deep sea fishing.
Relax on the Beach: Take Dad to one of the Outer Banks' beautiful beaches for a day of fun in the sun. The whole family will love spending time by the water!
Golfing: Whether Dad likes tackling sprawling golf courses or playing mini golf with the family, there's a place for him to tee off in the Outer Banks!
