Labor Day is a fun time to visit the Outer Banks. Here are a few of the many awesome activities that you can enjoy here this weekend as you savor the end of the summer season. 

Spend time on the water: The Outer Banks are home to some truly [beautiful beaches](https://www.outerbanks.org/plan-your-trip/beaches/). Head to the coast for a day full of swimming, suntanning, water sports, and more! 

Visit an amusement park: If you want to beat the end-of-summer heat, then you should visit one of the local water parks, such as [H2OBX Waterpark](https://www.h2obxwaterpark.com/). Other great options include [First Flight Adventure Park](https://www.firstflightadventurepark.com/) and [HWY 12 Amusements](https://www.facebook.com/nc12rodanthe/). 

Go shopping: Snag some great deals this Labor Day! Search for bargains on big-name brands at the [Outlets Nags Head](https://www.outletsnagshead.com/) or the [Outer Banks Mall](https://nagsheadshopping.com/). 

Take a hike: Enjoy the nice weather by going for a hike. There are [terrific hiking trails](https://www.alltrails.com/lists/outer-banks-nc) at local parks including Croatan National Forest, Emerald Isle Woods Park, and Hammocks Beach State Park. Many of the trails feature coastal views!
