Come spread holiday cheer at Jockey's Ridge! For one night only, Kitty Hawk Kites will host a stunning light display unlike anything you've seen before. At Kites With Lights, large 19-to-30 foot kites will be decked out with dazzling lights. The natural beauty of the Outer Banks is fantastic alone, but it is especially pretty when paired with twinkling lights!
Directly across from the display, guests will be able to enjoy the lighting of a solar Christmas tree out on the dunes. Warm beverages and baked goods can be purchased across the street at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing. Grab a yummy snack and hot cocoa and enjoy enchanting holiday lights with the local community!
Make sure to bring the kids, because if you get there between 1 and 4 PM, then you can also enjoy free visits and photos with Santa!
This event will take place at Jockey’s Ridge State Park on Saturday, November 27, 4 to 7 PM. The event will be free, but will be collecting donations to benefit the Friends of Jockey’s Ridge. This is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. Don't miss this unique, festive event!
