Join Kitty Hawk Kites for the annual Outer Banks Kite Festival! This exciting regional event brings together some of the nation's best stunt kite pilots for a unique show above the picturesque sand dunes at Jockey's Ridge State Park.
Over the course of the festival, you can see all sorts of thrilling showcases, including massive kite displays, stunt kite lessons, and world-class performances. Witness a giant 100-foot octopus, an 80-foot panda, and a 50-foot fish take flight, creating a breathtaking spectacle! Some performances are synchronized; others pair with music. They're all fantastic!

If you feel inspired by the show and want to learn how to fly a kite yourself, then you can take advantage of the free stunt and power kite lessons offered by experienced professionals. Beginners and experienced kite flyers alike are invited to participate.
The Outer Banks Kite Festival will take place September 13-14, 2024. Admission is free and open to the public!
