Rock the Cape is a free, family-friendly event that includes an art show, concerts, and gallery tours.
June 6th will offer a full afternoon of art and music. Head to Kitty Hawk Kites' Waves Village Watersports Resort at Milepost 40 in Rodanthe to browse original, handmade arts and crafts made by over 20 local artists. As you shop, enjoy free music. Performances include a Hatteras musician family jam, Celtic music by Nova Scotian duo Cassie and Maggie, and pop, funk and soul tunes by Night Routine.

On June 7th, you can partake in Friday Arts on the Island, which is a First Friday tour of the galleries on Hatteras Island. This is an all day self-guided tour that you can enjoy at your own pace. Participating galleries have added their own bonus activities, including demonstrations, classes, sales, raffles, music, and refreshments.
