I love a good soup. If you're like me, then you start thinking about soup the second that temperatures start dropping. I wait all year for soup season to roll around. Now that it is November, I thought I'd suggest some places to find good soup around the Outer Banks!

Fishbones Raw Bar & Restaurant
Fishbones specializes in creative Caribbean eats. They utilize fresh Outer Banks ingredients and craft all sorts of wonderful dishes. This winter, you have to try their butternut squash and granny smith apple soup! This soup is seasonal, but don't worry- if you go and they don't have it on the menu, then you'll still have some great chowders to pick from!
High Cotton BBQ
High Cotton BBQ serves comforting Southern classics. In the winter, their stew is a local favorite. Try their Brunswick Stew. For those who aren't familiar with it, Brunswick Stew is a regional specialty. It is a hearty, tomato-based stew loaded with smoked meats, lima beans, potatoes, and corn.
Owen's Restaurant
Owen's is a family restaurant. They serve excellent seafood dishes. Currently, their menu advertises Charleston oyster stew and New England butternut squash bisque- yum!! Keep an eye out for their lobster bisque, which is perfect for the winter.
The Colington Cafe
Don't miss out on authentic she-crab bisque at The Col Cafe! She-crab bisque is a regional favorite that visitors MUST try while they're in the Outer Banks! This bisque is creamy and heartwarming- loaded with crab and cooked with a dash of sherry.
Ladles Soup
The seemingly endless options at Ladles make it a soup wonderland. With so many choices, it is nearly impossible to pick just one! Luckily, Ladles has a soup flight where customers can try three different soups! Grab a classic like broccoli cheddar, a regional favorite like she-crab bisque, or an unusual creation like buffalo chicken soup.
This list just represents a few of the great places to find soup in the Outer Banks. Tell me about your favorite places to find soup in the comments!
