Nothing says spring like a food and wine festival! This April, come to the Outer Banks and check out the fabulous Lost Colony Wine & Culinary Festival in Manteo.
At the 5th Annual Lost Colony Wine & Culinary Festival, you can enjoy old world and new world wines from around the globe. Come taste a variety of unique wines paired with local foods and "warm island (southern) hospitality." The coastal views and incredible music make the festival even better!
One of the most unique things about this festival is the area's winemaking history. Roanoke Island is home to America’s oldest known cultivated grapevine! How cool is that?! Of course, the fresh, local food is also hard to beat- as are the ocean views! There's so much to love about this festival.
The Vintner's Reception will take place on April 14th. This is a fantastic kick-off to the festival, hosted by Francis Ford Coppola Winery, and it will feature Sea Chef Catering. Proceeds benefit The Lost Colony.
The Grand Tasting will take place on April 15th. "Ten of the Outer Banks’ favorite restaurants and best chefs will be serving their specialties, complementing the body and aromas of the wines poured." It's going to be phenomenal. Admission to the event includes wine tasting, craft beers, local fare by ten restaurants, silent auction, regional art show, and live music.
Other features of the festival include an artists market and a silent auction.
