November is upon us! For many, this means that it is time to kick off the holiday season. If you're traveling to the Outer Banks over the holidays and want to see some amazing Christmas lights while you're here, then check out some of the festive spots on this list!
WinterLights at the Elizabethan Gardens (Manteo):
"Illuminate your spirits" this Christmas at the Elizabethan Gardens! WinterLights is a beloved local tradition. Come stroll the gorgeous illuminated garden and discover the joy of the season! The ten-acre gardens are transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with dazzling lights, holiday décor, and a crackling open-air fire. On select dates, there will be additional experiences to enjoy, including appearances by Santa, live music, and face painting. Kites With Lights (Kitty Hawk):
Kites With Lights is a unique Outer Banks holiday experience. Come spread holiday cheer with Kitty Hawk Kites and their iconic light show on Jockey’s Ridge! They will dazzle the audience with the lighting of the Jockey's Ride State Park solar Christmas tree on the scenic sand dunes. Then, head over to Jockey's Ridge Crossing for warm beverages and baked goods (proceeds benefit Friends of Jockey's Ridge!). Enjoy this free event on November 26, 2022 from 4pm-7pm.
